Eyeliner in Philippines: Mahal at Mura
Don’t you just love it when you’ve perfected the art of applying eyeliner? I can honestly say that I am a bonafide eyeliner expert (kapag ilang taon ka na nag eeyeliner ma peperfect mo rin yan girl). With my experiences from different eyeliners, I finally found the best eyeliner in Philippines which is only below 100 PHP!
Based on my eyeliner experiences, let’s start with my least favorite which I will throw away right after publishing this blog post…
Eyeliner in Philippines
Calvin Klein Electric Edge Liquid Eyeliner
To be fair, Calvin Klein is not really known for their makeup line. I just told myself to take a chance, try the underwear brand which decided to come up with low quality eyeliners. This eyeliner has very low color payout and although it’s easy to apply, it just felt like you have to swipe it 10 times over before getting a solid color.
It’s like trying to color with a low-quality crayon that’s 2 for 1 in bookstores. Never ever will I use it again. I’d rather go Eyeliner”less” than wear Calvin Klein. (parang PETA campaign lang ang peg)
This eyeliner in Philippines is perfect for the basurahan… Next!
Mac Rapidblack Penultimate Eyeliner
This is one of those moments na… Ayyy MAC, for sure bongga to! NOT! The applicator is like an impotent penis which always bends while being applied. I want my eyeliners like my men, equipped with virility! Aside from the barely-there color payout, this eyeliner turns patchy when it dries out. It is best to go with the Calvin Klein eyeliner in the trash can. Doon sila mag-bonding dahil inistress nila ako.
My discovery
The last item is my favorite and I’m not being biased because it’s an eyeliner in Philippines that’s made in the Philippines. The reason why I love it is because of its top quality partnered with a very competitive price point. What I’m talking about is…
Nichido Liquid Eyeliner
Ang taray kasi kinabog niya yung international brands. This is the type of eyeliner that I really like because it’s very quick and easy to apply. The brush is sturdy which helps apply the eyeliner very precisely. It’s also a one-swipe type of product because the color payout is very solid (hindi tinipid!).
The only thing I don’t like about it is the packaging, it looks so generic. With a product of its caliber, it deserves better packaging. I don’t mind paying additional 10 pesos for it to look prettier. It also stays all day, it isn’t smudge proof but what kind of tanga would smear her eyes when she’s wearing eyeliner naman diba?
It only costs around 60+ PHP, definitely a cheap liquid eyeliner in the Philippines but of quality. I don’t know what it’s made of but I can attest that it won’t irritate the skin because my skin type is very dry and sensitive.
This is if not the best eyeliner in Philippines, one of the best.
