Maybelline Fit Me VS Revlon Photoready Concealer Review 2018
February 26, 2018
There’s limitless knowledge regarding on what the best daily concealer is and we often get information overload. The reviews on the web are too saturated that we often see hard selling. Here’s my genuine concealer review of Maybelline Fit Me Concealer and Revlon Photoready Concealer.
These concealers are easily spotted in Philippine stores. The first one has a competitive price and the second one is a bit pricier than most concealers found in the country.
I’m a fan of light-weight makeup. Nothing’s worse than a cakey base. I’m good enough as dessert and I don’t need the unnecessary redundancy.
What I like about this concealer is the longevity. In my experience, it can take up to 4 hours before it starts to crease (yes, it creases). I don’t think you should expect something that’s adjacent to the stars with its very competitive price point that’s only shy of 200 PHP.
I also like the wand that it comes with as it’s very precise and sturdy, just the way I like my men (calm down Amanda this is a concealer review).
What is Maybelline Fit Me Concealer best used for?
It’s very good for daily use e.g. work, grocery, gym (oh you’re so girly, we can be best friends) or any random errand, really. I don’t recommend this for special occasions like dates and honeymoons though. You don’t want your significant other to witness creases under your eyes while you’re doing some intimate activities with him/her.
What should I do if my concealer starts to crease?
The best touch-up method for this product for me is very simple… just dab the product with your finger to its original state. Sounds simple but works!
The winning factor for me is the price point and the light-weight feeling. I also like the packaging because it’s sleek (don’t you just hate that word like I do?).
This concealer can definitely cover bags, acne (live, still born, and deceased).
Another concealer best for daily use in the Philippines sil vous plait?
No problem bessy, I’m here for you.
The concealer review challenger
If you want to go the extra mile and spend more than what you’re willing to on a daily basis, this concealer review recommends…
Revlon Photoready Concealer 004 Medium
I won’t say that I’m a huge fan of this but compared to the Fit Me one, this is a better alternative. If you are looking for something that’s versatile (Grindr much?). When I say versatile I don’t mean top or bottom, I mean… can be used on a daily basis or for special occasions.
The coverage of this concealer is FLAWLESS (yas Queen Bee!).
For a full-coverage concealer, the price tag shy of 700 PHP is justifiable compared to… “I don’t know her” (channeling Mariah Carey).
What is Revlon Photoready Concealer best used for?
Photoshoots, dates, honeymoons, no-strings attached meetings, naughty rendezvous, beach, menial labor, and etc… just not underwater!
Do I need to elaborate more when I say FLAWLESS?
How long does this product last?
I’d say up to 6 hours but it depends on the activities that you’re doing. If you are running a marathon or playing soccer then I’m pretty sure the life span will deteriorate quicker.
What I don’t like about this product is the archaic lipstick bullet style. The consistency is like of a cream lipstick and the packaging is not aesthetically pleasing. Don’t you just hate that plastic cap?
Anyway, the paragraph above is pretty trivial as this product doesn’t crease and makes you flawless so it’s still up to you.
Overall, both concealers are good and are easily available in the Philippines. Both products didn’t cause me break-outs which is really what’s vital for me. I’m still on the look-out for better alternatives and when I find any… I’ll make another concealer review for you.
