Shawill Cosmetics: My Picks

I can’t remember exactly when I first saw Shawill Cosmetics but I am positive that I didn’t discover it online.

If you’ve been reading Filipinow, you’re well aware that I like featuring local products as much as possible.

When it comes to skin care, Philippines has it covered.

Makeup however, that’s something that Philippines’ yet to perfect.

From my years of experience with trying out local makeup products, each brand specializes in one thing and leaves their other products lackluster.

Ever Bilena has amazing lipsticks, FS Cosmetics has fantastic foundations, and Nichido boasts long-lasting loose powders.

Shawill Cosmetics Experience

The selling point of Shawill Cosmetics for me was its price and packaging.

I like moderately-priced products compared to uber-cheap ones because I know that the quality wasn’t compromised (Careline Cosmetics).

Shawill products range from around 180 PHP each which is very fair.

I also like how their packaging is simplistically elegant but they have to stop hyphenating the word “makeup” because it’s quite unsightly.

Enough of the trivial stuff. Let’s talk about the products!

Shawill Mineral Lash Maximizer Mascara

When it comes to Mascara, Maybelline is King.

In terms of Philippine-made Mascaras, I think that Shawill Cosmetics is of royalty from another Kingdom.

I love the color gold and the Shawill Mineral Lash Maximizer Mascara is encased in a faint rose-gold plastic container.

The packaging has a heavy and premium feel to it.

It has a thick cream consistency just like any high-quality mascara.

What I love about it is it elongates and thickens my lashes after one coat.

Unfortunately, I don’t have photos of myself wearing it because it already dried-out.

I barely use mascara nowadays because I always wear false eyelashes.

Mascara is currently only a binding agent for me to synchronize my false and real lashes.

Available in Lazada BUY HERE

I can’t remember the exact price of it but I’m sure it doesn’t exceed 200 PHP.

The thing I don’t like about it is it’s not waterproof and kind of finishes easily.

I’m not an emotional person and I don’t go outdoors often so I really don’t mind if a product is waterproof.

Non-waterproof products save me time from removing my makeup before going to bed.

No curling effect should be expected as well so don’t get your hopes up.

Lashes clump a little but the mascara itself doesn’t smear.

  • Efficacy – 4/5
  • Price – 4/5 (inexpensive but easily finished around a month with daily use)
  • Longevity – 5/5 (lasts all day)

There’s no ingredient list on the packaging so stop expecting too much from me lol.

Shawill Perfect Powder in 008

Shawill Cosmetics Perfect Powder 008 Contour

Now this one is my favorite Shawill Cosmetics product.

First of all, I’ve had this like forever ago and I can still use it for the upcoming forever.

It’s a contour pressed-powder that blends perfectly with one’s face.

The packaging reminds me of Chanel but with too much writings on the front.

I love how it’s not too pigmented and I can build it up to look like a shadow.

Other contour powders are too heavy and look like splattered mud on the face.

Below are photos of an unblended swatch and a finger-blended result.

The reason why I didn’t use a brush is for you to see how amazingly blendable it is even with just using fingers.

The powder is finely-milled and is very smooth to the touch.

Scent is very pleasant (like a baby powder).

Sheen isn’t present which is very good in contouring.

What I don’t like about it is Shawill Cosmetics didn’t come up with a lot of contour shades.

Shawill Perfect Powder 008 is too dark for me but what I do to make it work is I only apply a little.

  • Efficacy – 5/5
  • Price – 5/5 (around 150+ PHP)
  • Longevity – 5/5

My Take

I’ll definitely spend money on Shawill Cosmetics again.

I’d love to know what other stuff this company can offer in terms of beautifying the Modern Pinay.

Please share with me your favorite local makeup brand on the comments section below.

You can also tell me randomly that I’m pretty.

I think I’ve babbled too much for only 2 products.

Time for me to use my energy in getting that Sugar Daddy money!
