Profusion Cosmetics Beauty 101 Review 2018

I know that this may not get a lot of hits because it’s not a popular brand in the Philippines. However, I really like it and I’m always using it so why not share it to my readers? What I’m talking about is the Profusion Cosmetics Beauty 101 Palette.

From my research, Profusion Cosmetics is a brand from the US. I’ve seen reviews online and most of them are positive.

I tried looking for the price from their website but I can’t find the product anymore.

I did a quick Google search and I found out that it’s $15 ~.

My aunt who lives in the US bought it for me and I’m sorry if I didn’t get the price right.

When I first saw the Beauty 101 palette, I was really excited.

The packaging reminds me of the TV series Charmed’s Book of Shadows.

It doesn’t look like it but the color black gives it a mystifying look.

I sound crazy right now but that’s how I see it.

Inside boasts a wide range of eyeshadow colors that are mostly earth-toned. There are also cream eyeshadows on the last column that can be utilized for a sultry smoky-eye look.

The Profusion Cosmetics Beauty 101 palette also includes blush, highlighter, and a contour powder.

I can’t find the brushes that came with it because I don’t really use free brushes from makeup palettes. We all know that those don’t work anyway.

My Experience

I have nothing bad to say about the eyeshadows. Profusion Cosmetics Beauty 101 palettes’ shadow colors are very pigmented and long-lasting. They cling to the skin even without a cream base or primer.

I love the selection of the eyeshadow colors because they are perfect for daily and special occasions.

Give me brown, black, rose, and grey and I’ll be okay. Props to me for rhyming.

The only thing I don’t like about it is the highlighter, blush, and contour powders.

Highlighter is lackluster (pun intended), the blush isn’t pigmented and has a weird color that’s very close to flesh, the contour powder is too light and doesn’t make sense.

The face trio was just a waste of space.

You’re better off using the shimmery pigments from the eyeshadows selection as the highlighter.

Apart from the eyeshadows being great for lids, they can also be utilized for the brows.

I don’t see the Profusion Cosmetics Beauty 101 palette as a complete makeup palette; it’s more of an amazing eyeshadow palette to me.

You know how some eyeshadows need to be collected and applied using a finger to work very well? This one is not like those.

Even if you pick up and deposit the pigment using a brush, the colors stay true to their opacity.

For $15 ~, the Profusion Cosmetics Beauty 101 palette is a steal.

It’s been with me for more than a year if I can recall correctly and I’m still able to use it up to this day.

I’ve hit pan for some colors but there are still good ones that are well-preserved.

In addition to the amazing quality, this Profusion Cosmetics palette is also cruelty-free.

The back of the packaging cites that it’s best used within 24 months after opening so I’m running out of time!

It kind of sucks because I don’t know where to get a new one from the Philippines.

I love how the complete ingredients are listed on the back of the packaging. Props to Profusion Cosmetics for this.
