Body, Scent Victoria’s Secret Sheer Love Fake VS Original August 13, 2018 I was originally (pun intended) going to review the Victoria’s Secret Sheer Love on its own. However, my readers really enjoyed my Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Fake VS Original post so why not do the same? What introduced me to Sheer Love was an interview of one of my favorite models Candice Swanepoel. I think that she was the most popular VS Angel at the time Sheer Love was launched. The way she talked about it on an interview really enticed me to try it out. Victoria’s Secret Sheer Love Review The scent is something I’d describe as feminine, light, and fresh. It’s a cross between a girl and a lady. Cotton flower is really strong which provides a little showery feel. Imagine the smell of someone who just applied a floral body lotion after stepping out of the shower. Although it exudes a fresh scent, it’s not citrusy nor fruity. You’re not going to smell like a salad if that’s your concern. Floral whiff it delivers still makes it really distinct and makes someone know that the wearer is of the right age. I’m literally laughing at myself about how I described the scent but I want to be completely honest. Lily, chamomile, aloe vera, and cotton flower are some of its ingredients and I’m sure you’ll find my explanation justifiable. Available with Authenticity Verified in Lazada (Why the F did I just see this now?! Lol.) The time I got the Victoria’s Secret Sheer Love was when VS Body Mists got their new packaging. It looks like a tube with a gold plastic cap which gives it a more premium feel. I grew up buying the trapezoid ones and I liked those too. When I was in college, the price of a Victoria’s Secret Body Mist was only a little over 500 PHP. When I bought the Victoria’s Secret Sheer Love less than a year ago, it costs almost 800 PHP. IMG Source Going back to the review, I really love the new packaging. Apart from its luxe look, I love how VS was able to maintain their body mists’ fragrance quality. Scents are always distinctly theirs with a lasting power that can match a designer EDT. The Victoria’s Secret Sheer Love body mist stays on my body for a good 4-6 hours. Sillage is adequate and I get complimented a lot when I wear it. People often ask me about it when I have it on. No stinging feeling can be expected and the fragrance tones down nicely with my body chemistry. You don’t have to worry about causing nausea to others as its scent is very light. Moving on to the comparison between an original Victoria’s Secret Sheer Love and a fake one… Victoria’s Secret Sheer Love Fake VS Original It was a mundane middle of the night and I had nothing to do but go window shop online. My heart skipped when I saw Victoria’s Secret Body Mists on sale for only 60 PHP per 250ml. IMG Source 60 Philippine Pesos is roughly around $1.20 and I’m sure you understand as to why I was like WTF lol. I knew from the get-go that what I was looking at were fakes. The original Victoria’s Secret Sheer Love I bought costs $18 as it says on the sticker label below and it’s being sold inside the department store so I know it’s legit. There is NO way that an original Victoria’s Secret Sheer Love mist would cost THAT low. Packaging of Victoria’s Secret Sheer Love Fake VS Original I won’t be able to make an apple to apple comparison in terms of packaging as the fake one uses a different kind. What I noticed is that with the fake one, the sticker label was carelessly attached. You’ll know what I’m talking about from the photos below. The original one’s sticker label, even after almost a year now, still looks decently glued. I also looked online for different packaging styles of the Victoria’s Secret Sheer Love mist and I only saw 3 types, the one I have, an EDT version, and the trapezoid kind. I can’t see anything online from a legit website that sells Victoria’s Secret Sheer Love in a tube-like packaging that I was able to buy online. Scent of Victoria’s Secret Sheer Love Fake VS Original What pleasantly surprised me was how accurate the fake one smells like. From the nozzle down to spraying both, you will not be able to detect a difference between the fragrance. The only thing that I noticed was when I shake the fake one, it forms a lot of bubbles which doesn’t happen with the real thing. The fake Victoria’s Secret Sheer Love has NO longevity. Scent’s gone literally after 10 minutes after it contacts the skin. You’re going to instantaneously wonder where your money went. It’s fun to experiment with but I don’t recommend it at all. Just buy a baby cologne from the convenience store. I don’t even know if the ingredients listed are really the ones included in the product so don’t even bother. Score of Victoria’s Secret Sheer Love Fake VS Original FAKE Scent: 5/5 Longevity: 0/5 Packaging: 3/5 Price: 6/5 Availability: 3/5 ORIGINAL Scent: 5/5 Longevity: 4/5 Packaging: 5/5 Price: 4/5 Availability: 5/5 I hope you enjoyed this read. Don’t buy the fake one, it’s not worth your money. Just get a burger from Jollibee, nabusog ka pa. XD I bought a fake and original Victoria Secret too before, but it was the Love Spell. And they do smell alike, A LOT! The only reason I don’t buy fakes anymore is that we don’t know what’s really in it like lead or feces as reported 🙁 xx Alyssa | Style Vanity amandadelacruz August 13, 2018 at 2:40 pm Reply Yea that’s the scary bit plus it doesn’t last haha!
