I know that you’re excited as I am for the coming Christmas. However, you must know that parties entail a lot of exchange of bacteria, germs, and the likes. As Filipinos, we’ve been used to the brand Safeguard so keep reading this Hygienix Germicidal Soap review if you’re looking for an alternative.
Hygienix Germicidal Soap Review by Amanda of Filipinow
The first product that I’ve tried from the Hygienix brand is their spray alcohol. I’ve encountered it many years ago and haven’t stopped buying it.
Their germicidal soap however, is very new to my eyes.
It crossed my path from one of my grocery trips and what caught my attention was the price; only 75 PHP for 3 full-sized germicidal soap bars!
You may be arguing with me about how you can find something cheaper from Safeguard but the variants you’re talking about are the pink and papaya ones which smell horrible.
I prefer the classic white Safeguard but it’s more expensive than these babies from Hygienix.
The packaging looks like a country’s flag with too much going on. Added to that is an annoying and unappealing superhero mascot; a bit corny but I don’t mind.
Let’s head on to less trivial stuff from this Hygienix Germicidal Soap review…
Scent is strongly reminiscent of how a classic white Safeguard soap smells like.
The bar melts a little quicker than Safeguard’s but doesn’t turn mushy like a Caress or Dove bar.
Lather is rich which provides a truly enjoyable shower experience.
Fragrance won’t linger on the body but that’s not why we use a germicidal soap.
It claims to kill 99.99% of germs and I have no way to prove their claim. However, I’m banking on it because Hygienix wouldn’t be allowed to write that in bold if their product wasn’t lab-tested by respective authorities.
What I noticed with this one is it doesn’t strip the skin off with too much moisture like what a whitening soap or a Safeguard soap would do so if you’re looking for that squeaky clean feel, this isn’t it.
However, I have dry skin so I don’t mind.
No irritations were experienced by yours truly as well.
For 75 PHP of 3 full-sized soap bars, you should definitely give it a try.
