FixDerma Shadow Sunscreen Review

Consider this FixDerma Shadow Sunscreen Review a treat for this Friday. The very reason as to why is because I got it from my dermatologist’s recommendation.

I know that most working girls don’t have time to visit the dermatologist and I’m making things easier for you.

As you all know, my website is not sponsorship-heavy and I won’t pander to brands most especially if I don’t trust the products just for me to earn a buck or two.

The goal of my beauty reviews website is to share knowledge from the experts. I don’t even know why I’m trying to explain all of these. Maybe I just have a little too much time in my hands lol.

FixDerma Shadow Sunscreen Review

Less yapping and more sunscreen sil vous plait?

I have a beach trip on May and I asked my dermatologist what she recommends best to be used as a facial sunscreen.

My skin is dry and sensitive with a bonus of being acne-prone.

I’m very particular with topical stuff that I apply on my face.

The recommendation was the Shadow sunscreen by FixDerma as it’s gel-based. Added to that, she advised for me to avoid cream-based products because most of them contain a lot of oils which are very acnegenic.

FixDerma Shadow Sunscreen Review Ingredients

FixDerma Shadow SPF 30+ is designed to protect sensitive skin and doubles as a moisturizer.

This sunblock offers broad spectrum protection against the sun’s damaging rays. Safe on young delicate skin of children.

Directions for Use:

Squeeze desired amount of Shadow SPF 30+ on fingertips and apply over entire face, neck and chest 15 min. prior to sun exposure. Re-apply after swimming, sweating, physical activity or as needed.

Let’s move on to what’s important in this FixDerma Shadow Sunscreen Review.

My Experience

Packaging is like any other squeezy-tube product.

Formula was made in the USA and was manufactured in India.

Scent is not similar to your typical sunscreen. It gives off a clean rubbing alcohol whiff I love.

Gel-based sunscreens are very good for oily and combination skin types.

However, if your skin is not acne-prone like mine and you want something more moisturizing, look for a cream-based alternative.

Easily absorbed by the skin and doesn’t feel tacky when worn overtime.

Light-weight and definitely enjoyable to apply.

Some sunscreens are way too icky and can give a lagkit feeling especially when applied on the neck.

Efficacy-wise, I love how my skin is protected from the burning feeling I’d often get from staying under the sun.

It also has a cooling effect as most gel-based products deliver.

Final Words

I find nothing negative about the product. However, a bit pricey at 280 PHP for only 40g when compared to other brands.

Will I purchase it again? Definitely! I don’t really go out that much so the price is not an issue for me.
