Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion Review 2019
Are you dealing with skin that feels like it has been neglected for years? Today, you’re going to know if this Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion review can help with your dilemma.
I for one have very dry skin and I can relate. I have something that itches once I forget to apply lotion. Added to that, a blissful light-handed scratch can turn into wounds, then scars; very problematic, I know.
Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion Review
by Amanda of Filipinow
To be honest, I’ve never tried anything from Aveeno. I am also not a fan of Jennifer Aniston to have the need to try it.
However, when it’s given as a gift, I might as well take the plunge and make a review.
First Impression
Like most lotions that come in 600ml bottles, it has a pump.
The pump is solely not for hygiene purposes. Without one, just imagine lifting weights every time you apply lotion. I know, not cute.
Packaging is very pleasing and has a picture of an oat plant which offers a very natural vibe.
Fragrance is non-existent which is perfect for people who have dry and sensitive like I do.
Claims
This dermatologist recommended nourishing moisturizing lotion is formulated with ACTIVENATURALS Colloidal Oatmeal to lock in moisture for 24 hours, leaving your skin feeling soft and smooth all day long.
- Relieves dry skin
- Moisturizes for 24-hours
- Fragrance-free
- Non-greasy
Let’s head on to the most important part of this Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion review.
My Experience
I don’t think that it is a holy-grail product. It’s just like any other lotion in the market that’s made for dry and sensitive skin.
However, it trumps other brands in terms of packaging and ease of application.
I love how even if it’s made for dry skin, it’s not in a thick cream form that can be annoying when applied.
It’s quick-absorbent and does stay effective for a long time but definitely not 24-hours.
I’d say that it’s a good lotion for bedtime but it must be reapplied once you wake up from a 6-8 hours of slumber.
Since it’s imported, it costs 670 PHP for 600ml which is about 3 times higher than products which deliver the same results.
As I’ve said before, I found nothing special about this lotion but it’s up to you if you still want to try it.
Also remember that what may work for me may not work for you and vice versa.
Final Words
If hydration is your utmost need from a lotion (which should be, duh!), there’s plentiful of other options.
However, if you want something that’ll look pretty on your vanity or bathroom counter, feel free to purchase one.
