Magdalino Perfume Review

Thank God it’s Friday! Today, I’m going to help you smell good on a budget with this Magdalino Perfume review.

If you’ve been reading Filipinow, I’m pretty sure that you know that I love reviewing perfumes.

The very reason as to why is simply put, I like to smell good. Added to that, Coco Chanel once said that a woman who doesn’t wear perfume has no future.

I’m pretty sure that I’ve misquoted her somewhere here and there but frankly, I don’t have the time to Google lol.

Magdalino Perfume Review

Magdalino is a local perfumery which offers scents that are inspired by famous designer brands.

This isn’t sponsored in any way but they sent 2 products for me to try.

Initially, the owner recommended Diana and Lorenzo which are inspired by Katy Perry’s Meow and Lacoste Black respectively. However, I chose Diego and Aurora which are inspired by Bulgari Extreme and Rhythm by Burberry.

The reason as to why I didn’t pick the recommendations is because I actually have bought original versions of the latter scents and it will be easier for me to compare if their products are up to par.

First Impression

I wasn’t a fan from the get-go as I don’t like the generic cylindrical bottles that most inspired-scents brands use.

There’s also something about the branding which is a bit too opulent for me which includes the ads, motif, texts, and etc.

However, I really appreciate the effort and please know that we all have different takes on what’s appealing or not.

I just prefer something more distinct, subdued, and pretty especially when I take the product out of my handbag.

The sticker label is not for me as well but we don’t know the cost in creating the packaging so let’s not reach for the stars especially if we want budget-friendly products.

Let’s head on to something less trivial in this Magdalino Perfume review.

My Experience

Magdalino Perfume Aurora

Both perfumes in terms of scent are VERY SIMILAR with the original ones.

They got the smell right from the beginning of the first spritz until it dies down.

I also love its true EDP quality as I have sensitive skin on my neck area and both products didn’t deliver irritations.

Sillage is pleasant and ample, you’ll surely leave a great impression on people around you especially if the scent that you chose is universally appealing.

Final Words

The only problem that I have is, even if the scent lingers on the skin for about 5 hours, its sillage dies down pretty quickly at around the 2nd-hour mark.

However, if someone’s really close to you, he/she will still get a whiff of what you’re wearing.

Quality-wise, it’s good. However, the packaging is just really something that I’m not a fan of.

If you’re looking for an affordable daily scent, you should definitely give Magdalino a try. You can check the Magdalino Perfume Facebook page here for more information.

Retails at only 350 PHP for 85ml, a true steal.
