Sunnies Face Fluffmates Review 2020: Vacay and Casual

By Rhea of Filipinow

Drugstore brands are releasing more lip products than ever. Among these brands is a local brand called Sunnies Face- owned by Georgina Wilson, Martine Ho, Jess Wilson, Bea Dee and Eric Dee.

Sunnies Face initially offered chic sunglasses on their debut, but has now expanded to make-up and prescription eyewear.

The brand has been receiving good feedback on their matte lipsticks- not only locally but across the Globe too.

First Impression

What I loved the most about these matte lipsticks is the wide range of shades.

All the shades have been selected carefully, so I’m sure you’ll easily find a favorite- or two.

I got one fluffmate in the shade Casual, from their nude line which they released last 2019. This line offers nudes suitable for all skin tones.

The other shade that I got is called Vacay- a crowd favorite. This is from the first fluffmate set they released back in 2018.

Sunnies Face Review

The packaging is sleek and simple. The tube container only has the brand name engraved on top, along with the swatch of the shade and the name of the shade on the bottom tube.

It’s lightweight and the grip on the hand is perfect.

My Experience

The buttery and soft formula makes your lip feel so good. The product glides smoothly across the lips.

This holds true to its promise of weightlessness against the skin.

The shade Casual- a peach brown nude, looks so good especially on Morena skin. This is a good choice for a natural look.

The shade Vacay- peachy papaya, is a coral shade. Now this one’s my favorite! It’s easy to wear. This color is perfect if you’re trying to achieve an MLBB look.

Swatch Vacay Casual

The color payoff is good. One swipe of the product is enough.

It’s also not as drying like most of the matte lipsticks.  You can also opt to blot these for a more subtle look.

These matte lipsticks could also be used for the eyes and cheeks- as the formula is blendable and designed for multiple use.

Longevity is so so. You need to reapply every 3 hours. It’s also not totally transfer proof.

But aside from that, I’m sure you’ll enjoy wearing these shades from Sunnies Face. Check out the other shades here.

Now, I’m gonna warn you. You might want to hoard these! These affordable babies only retail for 395 a piece.
